Finns eat Reindeer

I've been eating a lot of reindeer this week. I went to a traditional northern Finnish restaurant last night and shared an appetizer platter which included a lot different kinds of fish, fish eggs, smoked reindeer meet, along with some cheeses and berries, followed by a reindeer steak. It was good, but did not taste very different from beef. It was perhaps little bit tougher, with only a very slight gamey taste. Not bad. I accompanied this with a Finnish beer, which is not worth mentioning.
